I don't think so. Temporary blindness or inability to read English notwithstanding, the article is perfectly readable.

Yeah, but it isn't even remotely enough and the majority of what has already been pledged are from the hype wave of HN that will disappear in a day or two. You only get the hype wave once.

The only reason I don't use ST2 is because it isn't nearly as good as Vim at indenting and highlighting the languages I use. Another reason would be that I can't use it in a terminal and would have to switch to another editor. But the res

Cool! I also wrote a pastebin in Clojure: https://refheap.com It has an emphasis on being excellent for Clojure but supports a lot of languages via pygments. It seems that it is becoming the defacto #clojure pastebin. My plans for RefHeap

I'm less concerned with speed on this platform. I think it'd be excellent even if only suitable for small scripts that need to start up fast.

Darn. Still doesn't even come close to correctly indenting Clojure.

Probably just historical reasons. The original Clojure videos from Rich Hickey were put there, so I suppose it makes sense to consolidate them all in one place.

In Leiningen 2, `lein repl` will be https://github.com/trptcolin/reply which has tab completion. May not be perfect yet (I haven't tried it personally) but I expect it to improve.

Isn't vimpulse the successor to that and evil-mode the successor to vim-pulse? Seems like viper is way down on that list.

https://github.com/ervandew/supertab seems nice for completing based on the current context. I seem to recall VimClojure having some kind of completion, but don't hold me to that. Also, like I said in the blog post, there is nothing wrong

Yeah, it is unfortunate how terribly documented they are. Not sure what you mean by difficult to distribute though. You either load the file from VimL or you embed the code in VimL. You distribute it like any Vim plugin. The documentation f

Except that I'm pretty sure he isn't denying that the language is complex. From Martin's comment, it appears that he is saying that Scala provides powerful and complex language features to solve hard problems, but that it isn't Scala's faul

You can make pastes private (which gives them a non-sequential URL) if you're logged in. We're considering allowing for anonymous users to have private pastes as well, perhaps with a time to live on them.

Well, I definitely want to point out that we are not trying to claim we've done magic here. If that's how it sounds, I apologize. Believe it or not, we are putting a lot of work into this site. We have some fun ideas we want to play aroun

Yes. The entire site is built with Clojure. We do use Pygments. Pygments is as much a general tool as it is a Python library, and a very good one on both counts. We didn't see much point in writing our own syntax highlighter that would al

Right. My comment was driven by the fact that Geni had their legal guys figure out what the consequences of paying for a minor to travel alone and attend an event would be. Apparently, there are many.

Travel in the United States is enough of a bother without doing so alone and as a minor. Not something I wanted to deal with. Besides that, there are apparently a lot of problems with liability when someone pays for a minor to travel and it

I was actually going for a reference to Marley & Me. Though, I'm not entirely convinced that it is indisputably incorrect in this case. Even if it is, I highly doubt that it is the worst mistake in my post.

It wasn't really in the sense that Clojure is the the logical step up from Haskell. It was the next logical step for me as I was learning to program. Lisp and Haskell are the two of the big scary functional (though not purely functional i
