I think it would be really cool to link this up with some of the Chrome App API's (TCP/UDP networking, serial). Then you could distribute lightweight programs without bothering with Emscripten or Native Client.

Ooh, I didn't consider transclusion. For the example I used (an attribute directive), would I make its template literally <div ng-transclude></div>

The problem with isolate scope is that you need to pass in all the data through attributes. This is great if you want something reusable that won't collide. My rule of thumb is that if it's got its own template, it should be isola

Apiary's awesome, but it's great to see open-source alternatives. Every closed-source, lockin-producing service I use is another thing to worry about.

I've tried it and I really like it! However, I don't have internet while in class, so the online requirement is a bit of a dealbreaker.

Yup, I used Evernote for a year and got pretty frustrated. Bullet points would work 99% of the time, but something, usually a copy 'n' paste, would mess them up and I'd have to spend 15 minutes getting everything back to norm

I take almost all of my notes in an outline style, which means lots of bullet points. So far, I haven't been able to find a note-taking program that does bullet-outlines better than Word, and that's a shame.

I agree, way too many sites do this. I've done usability tests and users get scared that they're doing something wrong. I just listen for a blur event and then display errors until it's actually valid.

How exactly do you add a watch? Is it a key-combo?

This is one of the reasons I'm absolutely itching for the Light Table plugin system -- it'd be awesome to collaboratively edit (and maybe evaluate!) code using Firebase. Can't wait!

I could be wrong, but if you use a CDN, won't jQuery be already cached for 99% of users? I can definitely imagine that filesize is an issue with less popular frameworks, but I'd wager that it really doesn't matter with jQuery

I'd love to see a Plotly-Serial bridge, which could be as simple as a tiny CLI. I keep most of my Arduino projects tethered to my computer anyway, so this wouldn't require any extra hardware. All I'd have to do is send somet

I agree that Dots is great, but it's a game--the UI is by nature specifically tailored to the application. If I'm using a news reader or productivity app, I hate having to spend time learning a novel interface. The more convention

I'm in high school, so it was pretty easy to find some interested friends. It also helps with the logistics--we keep the printer in the computer lab so everyone can access it.

I got together with 15 of my friends and bought one for us to share. We each had to pay under $50, which made it very attractive. None of us use it enough to justify owning one ourselves, so sharing was the obvious solution.

Just to clear up any misunderstanding, are you trying this on two laptops on your home network? If so, you still need wifi for the connection between them, The cool thing about PeerJS is that the data goes directly between the computers (A

That math doesn't seem to work out. 5000 subscribers * 24 (dollars/year)/subscriber = $120,000/year.

I thought "If you think a woman is going to join your company for free whiskey shots, you can stop reading here" was a bit stereotypical. I'm sure there are women who would love free whiskey shots, and men who hate them.

That's not valid JSON either! (The second value has no key). Needs to be: { "because": [{ "80": "percent" }, {"of": "JSON", "is": "brackets" }] }
