For navigation within the app, consider using links with URL fragments and listening for the hashChange event. This will allow back and forward navigation, as well as the ability to bookmark or link to a tag.

That's really necessary with pentile displays, which amounts to about 2/3 of an RGB subpixel scheme. 345 equivalent PPI isn't that crazy.

I would have made a calendar app if I had known it would be worth that much. Edit: It features the JQueryUI date picker. Funny how such value can come from free software.
