I ordered a Pangolin yesterday as I've been waiting for an AMD laptop forever. This is my third System76 laptop, and the first two are still great. My first was a Galago Pro, and my only complaint was that I went HiDPI. That was just a

Yeah this was truly an abomination. Everything Apple got in trouble for was undeniably illegal and the verdict was justified - but I'd argue the outcome wasn't. Even as an Apple customer, I'll state the "iBooks experienc

I agree with this answer. I listen to classical constantly but still don't really feel like I understand it well. What I did was just listen..listen..listen and then look for patterns in what I liked. I love Vivaldi and Bach, but I t

Same, I was quite interested in this, and even used it for a while, but it seems to have just fizzled.

This comment is a ridiculous. Your claim is that a few almost-imperceptible yellow dots are causing your ink cartridges to go down faster? Your printer uses 10-100x the ink these dots require just by powering it on when it has to do a flush

This is very well stated. A healthy reminder of how logical thinking should be applied, especially in 2021.

Hah - I was hoping I wasn't the only one doing this. In addition to just not being good at "viral twitter", I never have any followers because I nuke-and-pave probably one a year with a new account. As you called out, most of

I highly recommend this same approach for schoolwork/studying. Just simply doing something , everyday, keeps topics fresh in your mind. It's so much better than forcing activity into giant chunks. I feel it reduces stress as well

The ease of creation of app passwords and protocol-level controls really are fantastic in Fastmail. I hope it never goes away.

Yeah I'm in this boat, too. In the end it might mean that I am paying Twitter $3/mo and the developer of the 3rd-party app, but to circumvent all API restrictions would be worth it. It seems a little unfair that Twitter gets so mu

I never knew about tldr. That tip alone is phenomenal. I'm embarrassed to say I've been doing this 20 years and never seen it. Trying to pull out several common usage examples from man pages has always been my difficulty.

I did the "man pages in book form" when studying for my LPIC. Also flashcards. Both approaches worked excellently :)
