Imho the main advantage is the keyboard focused navigation Edit: it is also lightweight, with proper power management (think TLP/Powertop) you can vastly improve your battery life.

Actually you can use org-mode without that much of a learning curve (at least in its basic form). Just pick an Emacs distribution (doom, spacemacs, ...) which come with pretty handy defaults, create an org-file and that's it. I use org

Used it for my last side project ( https://github.com/atbswp ). On Linux it looks fine (because GTK), but on Windows iirc it still uses Win32 which looks a bit archaic.
