That's not completely correct surprisingly. You can put SSH public keys into DNS records with the SSHFP type and use DNSSEC to have a complete trust chain rather than using TOFU. It's disabled by default in OpenSSH however, and I&

At that point what you're describing has little resemblance to a hosted RPI though, the complexity justifies just making something custom that's better suited to the task than shoe horning Raspberry Pi hardware into a rack.

The description of "decentralized" seems to be a little weak here.

Yeah, IPv6 being variable length hexadecimal makes it difficult for people to pattern match. I can typically expect that users know what the four groups represents, but IPv6 being represented in such varying ways means that I can't exp

They look better in decimal encoding, personally. http://3509828724/ If you feel sadistic, it's also legal to use octal encoding. http://0321.0063.0274.0164/

You do get used to it, believe it or not. One thing that helped me understand what was going on was looking at the output files, each pulse of the magnet is a slice within the images, and each sound corresponds to different types of measure

Pretty often for cerebral scans you don't have a whole lot of room to move due to being literally restrained by the focusing gear. Most people who have done MRIs regularly get pretty good at not blurring the images; the more still you

It’s thunderbolt physically, but they don’t call it that because they aren’t certified, or something like that.

You might like bech32, which encodes data (nominally hashes) into strings which include error detection and error correction, while being optimized for human use and typing by avoiding homogylphs and capitalization. https://en.bi

"USB 3" is also ambiguous as hell. It's unfortunately talking about one of perhaps 10 different protocols, some of which are different depending on what year you are speaking of, because there's name collisions between i

Yes. You only need to be “online” periodically to check for fraud, which is a task which can be relatively trustlessly delegated if need be.

You're misreading the graphs, the chain size can grow at most by 576MB a day. A maximum of 4MB per block, 6 per hour, 24 hours per day.

The repeated comments about "routing not scaling" are sort of weird, there's no real technical hurdle to overcome. Approximations of route finding are really all that's necessary, there's no strong centralizing forc

You don't need a lot of funds, or to always be online. You can run the software quite happily on a cellphone (I have previously), the requirement to be "online" is only in the scale of occasionally (once a day would be more t

At this point I’d disagree; “bug bounty” programs are designed to frustrate reporters, cover up issues, and serve neither the reporter or users of a service. Guilting people fully disclosing isn’t really doing much to improve the situation

This has been the same story with all ARM boards for at least a decade. They have promising specs, atrocious linux support, and it never improves no matter what. Get a x86 APU2 and just run mainline linux on it, they're the same price
