The product is simply not good in its current form. It's a strange mix of instant messaging, web of trust, and cryptocurrency scam. It doesn't strongly give any particular goal. The tools are shiny, pleasant enough to look at any

Feels like a gentle reminder about corp.com. If some configuration works out of the box in an insecure way, that's what everybody is going to be using.

What does their backend look like that a 30 character string for gender could end up containing a limitless amount of text?

Note that would need another exploit to pull off. This only allows execution within the context of the mail parser.

Why? It doesn't impact them meaningfully. The instances only have a 200Mbit interface so it's not like you can saturate their pipes.

Not double, really. Phase change cooling is surprisingly efficient, you get a lot more heat moved than you'd expect for the power consumption (hundreds of percent).

They've been marked as "low in stock" for 2 years. It's obvious the writing has been on the wall for a long time.

Linus wasn't relying on a bootloader exploit in old hardware to write a kernel.

Why would you want this? The iPhone 7 has a broken bootloader, which is what makes this possible in the first place. It's impossible to be sure of the integrity of the device when you can just get root over USB. It's likely to req

Part of the big thing that's missing in those 3000 pages is limitations. Once a bluetooth connection exists there's really nothing preventing the device from using any of the profiles available, other than limits placed by the ite

Well, history has shown that you can't expect a non existing TLD to keep not existing. The design industry got burned using .xxx as a placeholder in designs, when that suddenly started resolving people's placeholders all linked to

It definitely would not work, they can do nothing except a partial SHA256 hash- not even a complete one.

Er better? Sync speed is now limited entirely by a single threaded hash table update, nothing to do with the networking.

Remember it's not security, but obfuscation. Many of these systems are just continuations of anti cracking schemes that go back to the 80s, littering the checks for piracy throughout the software in otherwise unrelated function calls a

We've just be quarantining packages. They get shoveled into the garage and sit there for at least 3 days before opening. Seems like a pretty small convenience hit to stay safe.

Ah yes, why worry about forgetting to renew a $10 domain name when you can forget to renew a $100,000+ top level domain!

Seems strange to me that people don't get this. If you don't like these rules, you're welcome to just not use their hardware. All of the rules Apple is implementing like this are by and large, for the benefit of the users, so

Latency in the network is a big limitation. You can run a node at nearly dialup speed, but you'll be endlessly behind on the current state of the network and fairly useless at actually relaying that information to your peers. You reall

Barely. The resource requirements for running a meaningfully performant node outstrip what you're getting on digitalocean. Most Bitcoin nodes as a result are horrendously slow compared with running on reasonable hardware.

There’s always the danger people misuse rng output unfortunately, see math.random() being used for cryptography almost incessantly.
