I think it's looking pretty grim for all derivative intellectual activity, with increasing hurdles for what counts as non-derivative. Entrepreneurial activity is not special in this regard. Interacting in and with the physical world is

Interesting that the Taiwan output was removed after the fact. Does it endorse Russia, NK or authoritarian leaders?

People need to justify their role. As such they change things around or add complexity, even if user benefit is questionable. And why wouldn't you add some planned obsolescence for good measure?

Good will in combination with nostalgia. I'm having increasingly strong doubts YT is going to survive this decade though. I've already started archiving things I find interesting. When that feels done, I will reevaluate.

Nice sentiment but this is advice for rich people. And with Trump installed as VC puppet, it's gonna get worse WLB-wise on average (not just for devs).

Live service games are a phenomenon of securing income streams. In the cultural era this live service has been done by (let's face it) mostly children such as formerly you and me. There never was a significant beneficial income (or rat

IMO framing any discussion around pay2win is missing the forest for the trees and playing into publisher's hands. On Gamebanana (formerly FPSBanana) you'll find a million pieces of non-P2W content for certain games created for fre

There's considerable risk in that strategy if taken to the extreme. Because you could eventually outsource virtually everything, including critical dependencies, and then just be left with a sort of pure military-financial hegemony, bu

Not an expert, but shouldn't "materia snapping to a Planck length grid in space" be experimentally falsifiable? And could this imply there is no grid or that space is truly continuous?
