The 1972 ORTF Paris recording ( https://www.discogs.com/Bill-Evans-Trio-Complete-February-19... ) is the one I listen to most (although Conversations with Myself is a close one). I particularly like the rendition of Autumn Le

Well, not for leather shoes of course. For a good pair of shoes leather (either vamp or sole) will be the first one to fail.

Leather needs to dry and air thoroughly, for that it needs a whole day (overnight is not good enough). For a while, I was a bespoke shoemaker, so I know this first-hand from material experience and from knowledge passed by teachers and othe

I checked this as a reference when I implemented this p5js sketch (note that the link takes you to a blog post with how it works and inspiration, the first link in the post is to the sketch proper) [1] but never went into the hard optimisat

I'd add Futura there for sure, and due to "former professional inclinations", Computer Modern.

I'd like to congratulate you both in your work there. Even if only because I wanted to write my own "Anders Hoff Depth of Field" but could never find the time, so now I have an implementation available to tinker with ;)

Likewise, I used it back when I rendered fractals (code in C, too) for some papers. PPM/PNM is a lovely (if bulky) format since it’s human debuggable as well.

I think I have only met one person using Windows for development (recently-ish). All people I know in UK, Spain, France, Germany, and Italy are either Mac or Linux. Edit: added UK

Returns are limited. At some point I returned 3 or 4 things pretty quickly, because I had an old iPad and some apps didn't advertise compatibility well enough and then you get put in a "special" category of "you can'

Thanks for the kind words! The code is a bit too messy for my own tastes, this is why I wrote the post detailing the why behind the separate pieces.

I used graphviz as the main visualisation for bear-note-graph [1], and it's super-easy to use programmmatically, and gives decent-looking results even for large graphs. It is also pretty customizable. I have a WIP version now using D3,

There are still "plenty", or at least, they are distinctive enough you'll spot them easily. Most of the ones I've seen are (obviously?) around the Hampstead Heath area, with a few around the Oxford Circus area.

For a long while I've had C-M-A mapped in caps lock, then I moved to using a Gergo (60% split ortho) programmed with QMK, so it's now mostly my own layout, specially for modifiers (see [here]( https://mostlymaths.net

Oh, interesting, it works for me on Catalina. For some unknown reason I had to restart to make it work, _and_ only works on Chrome (for Meet) and some other selected programs. I guess it shows its age, I may have been lucky it works for me.
