Do you know what the fuel is? Rockets are unique in that they carry a significant amount of oxidizer with them. A hydrogen container is unlikely to zoom around spitting fire, there's too much fuel for how much oxygen there is and it ri

You are right. The issue with the Hindenberg was not the hydrogen. It was the coating. The main concern for hydrogen as a fuel now is the high pressures. If the pressure vessel is damaged it explodes due to mechanical forces. This is not im

Maybe? But there are cases where the answer is either "no" or "it's too expensive." I've interacted with people with very serious mental disabilities and while it's not necessarily a negative experience yo

In those treatment there is a metric that indicates success. For this it is not so clear, the main indicators saying "does not knowably prevent death and raises possibility of future death."

We're not talking, in these instances, of someone who is mentally able but with a mobility issue, we are talking about people who will never contribute to society. That's money taken away from you, not some billionaire. That said

If incidence of suicidal ideation goes up with number of involuntary holds then it means that psych facilities are not treating the problem. That is enough: that they are provably not treating it. First do no harm means you have to be causi

Machines cost tens of millions or more, renting time on them at least hundreds of thousands.

If you answer yes they are liable to send someone to kidnap you, so people are trained to not answer yes.

There's also studies that show the more times you are committed the more likely you are to commit suicide, i.e., that psychiatric hospitals cause suicidal ideation.

Yes. It's well known that someone with, say, Down's syndrome may need a full time handler and is extremely unlikely to be a productive member of society (they'd need to be twice as productive, to make up for their handler). M

Or you play computer games when you feel well. A common symptom of ADHD or depression is anhedonia which leads one to have a hard time with video games.

The developer tooling was pay gated until VS2019 or something. You needed this tooling to make use of the APIs in a reasonable way, or alternative tooling. Most people just responded by not using those APIs or recreating them.

They're a sign of dated tech. Nothing modern necessarily needs them. I know how to use them and I can respect the design, but pay gating them for so long has made them irrelevant.

Those latter things (COM, WinRT) are gated behind the enterprise license, IIRC. Most people will not have cause to want them. I know I don't.

You can't dictate a specific solution. It probably hasn't happened yet but someone who exclusively uses the FOSS software probably has grounds to request flat text. Flat text may be better with current hardware, who knows. A busin

For an ADA claim it shouldn't matter. You're usually not asked to demonstrate your disability. There are people who only use Linux in textmode.

That's neither necessary or sufficient -- farm equipment is given passes for most car requirements and I know does not strictly meet existing EPA regs, but I am unsure if it has absolutely no regs or not.
