The article is dead on. Lots of people start looking at the internet as a money machine and forget what the internet is actually for P.S. - the article links to The Guardian's Open Content platform, which strikes me as the coolest thing fr

Having a bad math day? A square gives the best number of pixels per diagonal inch. The farther you get from a square (aka the wider the screen), the less pixels you get, even if the diagonal length stays the same. You can advertise a 22

While the indirect way they did this is less than ideal, I think they have the right idea. IE and Firefox are browsers. A search toolbar is something that goes in a browser. Odds are, if you installed a search bar in your browser (not th

This is the problem -- the argument about 'settings' has become about whether there should be a preference pane, whether there should be an "advanced preferences" pane, etc. Settings aren't the problem. Preference panes are the problem. I

I usually don't get all up in arms about multipage article crap, but this article is barely long enough for one print page, and then they split it at probably the worst possible point.

Your comment says nothing which actually supports the case that the article said nothing which actually supports the case that the "just-world fallacy" is fallacious. Hence, I down-voted it.

It is a mistake in logic, specifically the part where people see someone in an unfortunate situation and think "They must have done something to deserve that". The fallacy isn't the idea that the world is just (it may or may not be), it's
