They don't _want_ to do anything but maximize profits - regulating the level of lead in those products directly impacts the bottom line, hence the need for regulation. The free market is awesome, but it can't effectively price ext

While strawberries are a smaller market, they're also high value and under threat from decreased labor immigration and terrible conditions. If I were working on truck crop robotics, that'd be my first crop to look at (especially b

International transfers are where crypto or other modern payment systems can shine - currently, low cost startups still charge ~2-3% plus onboarding fees to send funds (in comparison to banks 7-22%), and they have volume limits.

Zelle has the following limits: https://www.mybanktracker.com/checking/faq/zelle-pay-limits-... If you're a business, I think you can get up to a $100k/mo limit - not enough to run most firms.

Wires are required at times because they're "good funds" faster - ACH may take up to 6 days to clear in bad cases. Also, wires can't be reversed (generally). If that's a good or a bad thing is dependent on the tran

The US Federal Reserve is currently trying to work towards faster payments - and seems to want to let private industry solve the problem. It really is terrible though and has been for a long time.

ACH is incredibly cheap at scale, but not free. Frankly, the US financial infrastructure is abysmal - we've papered things over for a long time. I'm happy to be currently working on fixing it.

After having just gone through this with my startup - the litigious nature of society makes it hard to reveal any of the information. If the board or the C* reveal too much, it opens the company up to a lawsuit.

Is this attributable to the quality of the startups or the easy access to capital?

This is a supreme "Homo economicus" argument - there are switching costs, human factors (do I like X, do they pay on time, are they charismatic and forceful?), and dumb money problems that thwart it.
