Every time I read tech news on IBM's Z series mainframes I wonder what a minimum viable / reasonable build out of this hardware might be. As a regular human there's no way or reason I'd ever really need an actual mainfr

I have to wonder if folks aren't making more of this news that is really there. I mean besides a lot money changing hands and the usual process of IBM taking on a lot of employees and eventually laying many of them off. Could anyone v

I am currently using an early 2008 MacPro and I too had a time in my life when I expected I would have to build a new computer every two years.

Something that fascinates and discourages me is how effective propaganda is even when it is transparently (at least to outsiders) propaganda. There is so much media today which is also transparently propaganda but somehow the people it

That's not all that dissimilar from the machinations that metal mining industries use to avoid long term ecological liabilities. So it probably is that straight forward.

Several of the subreddits I mod make extensive use of CSS decorations. It's simply impossible to construct anything similar with the redesign. There are also so many missing or broken features that are in a state of flux it's ha

Interesting project but I do wonder if you're going to go through this amount of effort if that idea of Literate-Devops with Org.Mode might not be a better path.

Interesting. I would have expected bush planes as needing more cargo space that this plane appears to have. The PT6A-28 is also a surprising and interesting choice... though I suppose once you get past the idea of not using a piston engine

I am confused by the title of this submission. The link goes to a story about the Neutis N5 Allwinner H5 CPU Module and Development Kit which has a quad core SoC based on the Arm Cortex-A53 processor @ up to 1.3 GHz with Arm Mali-450MP4 GP

My own experience is of getting sucked into the fear and subsequently allowing it to cause me to fail, like some sort of slow-mo target fixation. This is unpleasant and leads to undesirable outcomes, so I can't recommend it.
