The proposed design puts the cargo on the inside of the V to maximize good views, and probably helps with logistics. I imagine the novelty of looking forward while flying is a selling point.

It’s a psychological effect. Same reason why Whole Foods charged $0.25 to get a cart, and then returned you the money. People tend to return the carts after paying the money.

It’s a matter of percent change. It shows the same relative percent change on the scale, which feels more accurate. I prefer the revised graph.

The paper makes it clear they were evaluating languages based upon efficiency. The rust implementation was more efficient than the JS one. A CPU bound service of course is bottlenecked at the CPU, and this benefits from efficiency. At scale

Fusion is not a chain reaction. The energy maintained for this is incredible and it can’t run away. Fusion has no toxic or radioactive bioproducts. As a power source fusion is pretty good, which is why it’s such a target for research. See:

Yes! Juypter notebook has an export to .tex file in its export menu. If you install the right stuff you can render the output on the server. However, the output of this isn’t nearly as well formed as a hand written latex document is.

Patents are a great example of this, where we artificially limit an idea, creating an artificial monopoly for 20 years to incentivize inventions and to encourage people to share their ideas so progress is not lost.

Other benefit is the web version can potentially run the javascript in the browser instead of waiting for a network call. Not sure what the security implications are here.

Yes, pathfinding is different than path following. That is, finding an optimal path is one problem, and having units follow that path in a dynamic world while reacting accordingly is something else entirely.
