I’m continually amazed - flabbergasted - by GPT-3. I’ve read stories, articles and HTML written by it and each time I am shocked at how good the output is. This essay made me laugh! It’s practically indistinguishable from a human. Not a cre

I cannot comment on tinc, but I use WireGuard to do the same thing as you, and it works brilliantly. It was “easy” to set up and use. I wrote up what I did for my Raspberry PI server that I have at home [0]. The only other component that ma

Depending on where you live, the energy “inefficiency” of a light bulb is no such thing. In the UK, for example, during winter (and spring and autumn) the heating is appreciated! However, it is 2-3x more costly than using gas central heatin

I can describe how Django addresses the issues that you raise: 1. You can squash the migrations, or delete them all and start afresh. I have had to do this just once on a project after it was 4 years old, and it was easy to do (ie. it is re

I think that adds it as a bookmark which is not the same thing as an OpenSearch provider because it doesn’t give you the blue highlight when searching with it. Actually this is exactly what lorenzhs said, and it is my experience too. I know

On Arch Linux, the browser would often crash after the system upgrade installed a newer version of Firefox. I read on their bug tracker that the upgrade prompt was a workaround for this (or at least one reason for it).

I agree that we should tax wealth. I wouldn’t say tax property per se, but rather just tax the land itself. Land is the fixed resource, but you can always develop more buildings on it. This would encourage people to use the land to it’s ful
