These principles taught me to think in object oriented ways. Object orientation is a black box to many and many people think they program object orientated, only because they program in Java or C#. But that's not true. Object Orientati

Another ridiculous software patent that should die! I people had patented B-trees, there would be no MySQL or other free database and royalities had to be paid on any database of the world. Or guess, somebody would have patented Quicksearch

I agree. Patent trolls are not the biggest problem at all. Sometimes I think, they are a good distraction from the real problem. Instead thinking about what to do about patent trolls, the governments should think, if they really can afford

I think, that was the only chance, they saw. But that's what a patent-troll is for: Being paid. They are like highwaymen, they want to be paid, for what, is not important. If the money is OK, they will even go on their own kind.

I don't see so much difference in France, the US or other countries: Money has not become king in our society, no! It has become God and the money-people are the priests of our religion! We are not so much better as the middle ages whe

PyPy is not an option everywhere. Since as much I know, many, many enhancements and libraries are just not available for PyPy but just for plain old CPython. PyPy might be an interesting project with much potential, but there seams to me a

You are right. But the normal application of Python is in circumstances, where you are not under such pressure anyway and flexibility and ease of use is more a requirement than having maximum speed or minimal memory requirements. And of cou

I did not say, that every dynamic language has to implement it this way, but Python does. And Python was not intended to be a language for building up huge data masses in memory, though it does not so bad in most cases (leaving out the ment

That's the cost of being a dynamic language. Since Python objects can be dynamically enhanced everywhere (also from inheriting classes and even from outside of the class) it needs dictionaries. But those can be very memory inefficient,
