This could be pretty broad. You could take it all the way from the DSP of working with the MP3 encoded audio to gui design and development. It would also show a great deal of skill in overall application architecture.

Couldn't you have done something similar with Github's web hooks? Something like have it ping the build server when a commit is made on master which pulls the code and builds? I'm just curious why the need to trigger builds

Actually controlling what's being aggregated. There are times when sourcing intel from the crowd is nice, but at the end of the day I still want to be certain that i've received all of the (periodic) updates from specific sources.

2x NEC 19" 5:4 1280x1024 monitors at work, nothing special. Used for coding in Visual Studio/SSMS. At home I have a single Dell 24" IPS monitor, used for photo editing and lighter coding, in addition to general home usage.

Or some Autohotkey script to simulate something similar on a full keyboard. Either investing time into a script or money into a physical keyboard are probably your best bets if you're looking at 4 weeks of something that is going to impact

If you're in the US and hosting user uploaded content it would be wise to have a DMCA notice and a designated agent. See the DMCA link at the bottom of this page for an example.

It depends very much on how well things are managed, down to the team level. If there's bad communication, or lack of action by the manager a serial under-performer could slide until it is annual review time, or worse.

How about setting up your own? I run openvpn on my dd-wrt router from home. I can securely connect to it from pretty much anywhere. It gets you all of the availability without any of the logging. The only thing it doesn't provide is an anon

I'm sure the social aspect is what hooks a number of people, myself included. I run a small whitelisted server for friends and family. It's fun to survive, create and build things by your own and orders of magnitude more fun with friends.
