I drive a Prius and while the actual implementation of the touchscreen leaves a lot to be desired (dodgy software and usual issues with obsolescence), I do like the way it splits between touchscreen and buttons. Buttons: all car controls, a

Right but was it that different in the '90s? Also, you've got the wrong window, 40s is Xennials, not young Boomers. Boomers would be the "40 back in the '90s" generation... and I'm pretty sure they were stron

The problem is that we are exposed to so many chemicals, finding the culprit(s) for this kind of thing will be nigh impossible. The study said "(diet high in red meat, low in fruits, high in sodium and low in milk, etc)" which bas

This is why I hate SQL. Once an abstraction fails so badly that you must understand minutia of its underlying implementation, it's now a burden instead of a benefit.

Here in Canada, where the cost of medical treatment is absorbed by the government, it is not. And by that logic you're using we don't need fines for speeding, just let the insurance company know.

Yeah, I was being a bit hyperbolic (and metric) and the a PHEV is only about 15% difference in curb-weight between comparable full-EVs, but that's not nothing.

While this is a good step, I'd also like to see more action taken about commuter vehicles that represent a greater threat to other people on the road for non-weight based reasons. Like, a Tesla X weighs more than an F-150 but based on

Is there no PHEV in the minivan space? I drive a PHEV Prius with a 40k electric-only range and it's great for guilt-free short trips without being a 2-tonne brick of batteries.

80 years ago vast swaths of the world sent a generation of their young people off to Europe and Asia to die for the sake of political alliances. Killing all those people was extremely expensive. When did we become such losers?

You don't have to do that explicitly. Tax all products by carbon emissions. Tariff all nations that do not participate in such a program. You don't have to tax beef explicitly when you tax carbon because beef is carbon intensive

So deduplication didn't see the NULLs because null != null so they had to manually partially remove the index on the nullable column as a workaround. Insert my rant on the stupidity of non-reflexively-equal nulls here.
