Steam Greenlight sort of fits this. You can gauge desirability by how many people specify they would buy your game if it were available. But I'm not sure if you get any actual insight into the numbers.

You may want to check out HoverHound, a chrome/firefox plugin. It'll let you compare the price of a part on newegg with the current price on amazon and tigerdirect. When I rebuilt my htpc about 6 months ago, I was surprised to fin

I really like this idea. I think you could add in accelerometer support and make the phone function like an actual mouse, physically moving it around the desk like you would a physical mouse.

If it's an armed conflict between two groups of people who both consider themselves "citizens" of their locale and another country steps in, is it their right to decide which are the citizens and which are the terrorists?

Perhaps, but something has to give. Maybe directly pissing off 4 million customers is what's needed to get these monopolies broken?

Ah. Well I hadn't checked the spec; I just meant that in my 5 minute testing it appeared that chrome set border-collapse to separate by default, which would explain why the parent commenter didn't ever have to set it to see table

It might just be cookies or some kind of tracking. I got the login requirement in chrome (my default browser) but don't see it in IE (which I rarely use)

It looks like Chrome's default user agent stylesheet defaults table border-collapse to separate. So you don't necessarily have to set it, but it's required and will potentially confound you if you use a css reset that changes

Actually I think Amazon supports something similar to this, wherein you ship them crap to hold on to and then after they receive and inventory it, they can optionally sell it for you. Though I'm not sure how the shipping plays into tha

This doesn't really make sense, as you can really only try to find the first node to report a transaction, and that has no real correlation with where the transaction actually originated
