Not always. After working for years at Apple I was told (in response to a bug report I filed about missing menu items) that Mac menus might totally change their contents if you PRESSED A MODIFIER KEY. WTF! So every Mac menu conceivably had

Meanwhile, Mac users STILL don't get a real Delete key; they get a Backspace key mislabeled "delete."

How about fixing the problem where Apple doesn't restore the minimized app when you switch to it? Kind of defeats the purpose of tabbing through apps in the first place, when you leave it minimized in the dock after you switch to it. D

The difference is that Windows apps are far less likely to be a mess of floating windows than Mac apps are.

That's Apple for you. They should have abandoned the dumb one-menu-for-all-apps idea with the OS X transition, but nope. That would entail learning. Then again, they DID implement Command-Tab app switching from Windows... but managed t

Everyone continues to ignore a glaring problem in the USA: Your health insurance should have nothing to do with your job. When people carp about "benefits," that's really what they're talking about, isn't it? And it

No. Uber has presented work for which they will pay a particular rate. Individuals can accept that rate and submit themselves as candidates for the job, or do something else with their time. If someone posts a classified ad for a handyman t

Apple has insulted users and embarrassed itself with this dogshit keyboard and the pathetic emoji bar... on a $4000 "pro" computer, no less. Then there's the glued-together chassis, the soldered-in RAM and drives... when thos

So what do they do? Revoke the app and developer account of that guy who wrote the free transit-mapping app for Montreal. Google: hypocrisy on a colossal scale.

Forbes is such a pathetic joke now. Lately they churn out another "Apple headed for disaster" article every day. Someone there is shorting AAPL and thinking no one will figure it out.

Very cool. Now if we can keep corrupt local politicians from destroying our airports and turning the land over to developers (this means you, SANTA MONICA)... transportation might continue to advance.

Would it not be more economically prudent to simply rent a small office? When I looked into these shared spaces, I found them to be a significant rip-off.

I liked the post except for its repeated use of the nonsense buzzphrase "virtue signaling." WTF is that supposed to mean? We have lots and lots of words; I don't believe this BS phrase fills an otherwise unfillable gap.

For the near future, I'd speculate that human-scale multirotor copters are not going to hold enough energy to be practical. A design that lets you save energy after takeoff by using lift from wings and forward propulsion... maybe.
