Except it's way too big now, resulting in spurious cursor-jumps, erroneous right-clicks... it's dumb. Even dumber is that Apple didn't do the obvious thing to make the giant trackpad pay off: Make the Pencil work on it! DUHH

Can you not select steam gauges and a GNS 430, for example? If not, that seriously hampers this product as a training/refresher tool.

I notice in the demo with the rotating rings that the illumination underneath them does not rotate smoothly. Anybody have an insight as to why?

What is Airtable? Seems like something that should’ve been mentioned.

Why? What massive files are you downloading on your phone? And IoT devices typically require tiny throughput. Is your electricity meter pumping out 4K video?

I figured that audio compression on mobile networks prevented the sending of faxes as tones.

It’s annoying that Apple is given a free pass on pushing media-centric devices and claiming that services are their future, but then making it HARDER for customers to consume those services, with offensive moves like deleting headphone jack

I remember this being used in games on the Atari computers, but only those that were ports of Apple games and Apple’s crude graphics. By skipping horizontal pixels, they’d get composite NTSC to smear the area into a color. But the Ataris ha

Still doesn’t make up for ICANN’s other scams. The canned collection of TLDs should have been abolished years ago, but when it looked like ICANN was going to do it and allow arbitrary TLDs, they turned it into a gargantuan rip-off and sham.

Funny how far things have gone. "Basic cable" had ads, but it was "free," as in included with your base-level subscription. But then basic-cable channels like MTV decided to try to charge for their viewership, AND have c

I guess some people feel all "leet" by using abbreviations without (or before) defining them and expecting everyone else to run around looking them up. It's tired and lame.

I disagree. I worked for a couple of big-six consulting firms, and my experience at the last one was that they could be pretty clueless and lazy about determining what the customer really needed. I spent a goodly amount of time preparing a

Not true. Movies were of course shot on film, which has way higher resolution than DVD. Even old TV shows look better than ever, as long as they were scanned from film. Look at the original Star Trek or Twilight Zone on Blu-Ray.

I made the mistake of pressing Degauss on a monitor while holding a magnet next to it. This basically calibrated the thing to look normal... with the magnet there. It took quite a while to restore to normal.

Ugh, this is not at all a valid comparison. It's extremely tired, too. The phone MUST create analog audio signals, to drive its own speaker. Denying customers a connector to access it is petty and offensive. Compounding that offense is
