Interesting. I generally take 3mg, and I think I pretty much need it at this point. I may try and lower my dosage over time. That said, are there any negative effects from relying on melatonin? Sure, maybe I can't sleep well without it, but

The folks in the picture don't look terribly happy to be following him around. The guy in the black jacket looks damn near depressed. That said, I'm sure it's just the picture. I actually like walking meetings most of the time. And I find J

Pretty sure I pay for my cable television, and for magazines, which are nothing but ads. I'm aware of the business models behind these, but unfortunately I'm not given a choice to pay more for completely ad free media.

I re-read your comment and I can see it now, but I missed the humor first time around.

But if they're meaningless anyway, what does it matter if they change them?

Because people want something for nothing. It's annoying though. If there was an easy and reliable way to get 10,000 from 1,000, we'd do it over and over and all be millionaires.

But its only been reporting more gas than you actually had _for several years_ because Apple chose to lie to you in 2008 to make AT&T's network look better than it is.

Some of these are interesting. Gandhi, for instance, may have been racist in his early life. But if he changed as he aged, does that make him a racist forever? In other words, there was a racist Gandhi, but also a non-racist Gandhi. Which o

Very good point. They should measure standard of living, not just income.

Facebook's not Google-sized... sure, but Facebook's not exactly tiny, either. I bet his team at Facebook will be at least as big as his Chrome team was at Google... and I'm sure he'll have to conform to "The Facebook Way of Doing Things." H

In a way, though, thats kind of the point. The whole idea of Chrome OS is that the browser IS the operating system.

The price of DRAM isn't falling though. A year and a half ago 6GB of DDR3 was cheaper than it is now. Sure over the long term its getting cheaper, but it takes awhile.

I think it definitely does. If you understand Programming Language fundamentals, it tends to be easy to understand a new feature in any language, as you can usually figure out how it really works underneath. You know "why" more than "what,"

Great quote, but without the opening, "It's like a finger, pointing at the moon." It doesn't really make sense...

I've noticed this happens if you log-in then log-out before the page is finished loading (including G-chat, etc.) When you try to log-in again, it often does the infinite redirect. Of course, there may be other causes as well.

I don't think that "no longer has to worry about money" is the common definition at all. If it was, every CEO of a mid-level or higher company would probably qualify. Perhaps something more along the lines of, "doesn't need money, and wants

The weird thing about that is there are probably more millionaires in the bay area than South Florida... but culture is culture, I guess.

Two things: 1. This does exist. See Hunter Thompson's letter collections (the first one is called The Proud Highway) from 10 years before he was ever famous. It's interesting, if very unfocused. 2. If enough people started doing this, peopl

You don't think having large savings is a safety net as well, that could keep you from truly experiencing life? Feeling that thrill of REALLY living on the edge?

What I find most disturbing about that attitude is how these people must treat their employees, once they get any. If they really think its such an inferior way to live, they can't hold them in very high esteem.
