I 100% agree with with the sentiment behind this rally, but I often feel that rallies like this in San Francisco are preaching to the choir. They make the participants and observers feel better, but do little to effect real change.

Funny to note, the study cited by the NYT was published by PloS, which was founded as an alternative to subscription based scientific journals and allows articles to be republished under Creative Commons.

I agree with you. The fact that you have to tell users what to do next with arrows and etcetera is much the same as using narration in a movie. It works, but it is a little like cheating. Nonetheless, I like the evolution away from standard

I agree. I really don't see the value beyond a few talented search engineers. They lost a lot of people with similar skills in the last few years. Nonetheless, this is a massive premium and I am not sure where the return on this investment
