The real killer is sparring, you don't go as hard but you do it a lot more than you fight. MMA fighters usually spar with boxing gloves, but since striking is only one part of MMA they can't afford to spend as much time training it as boxer

My anecdotal experience is that almost everyone is oblivious to the second factor. "Yeah I drive over the speed limit/tailgate/drive a motorcycle, but I'm a much better driver than the average idiot so it's not dangerous for me."

Doing this every 200 hands would add a minimum of 0.75 big blinds per 100 hands to your winrate - more realistically it would be well over 1 big blind. That is very significant in a tough game.

Special symbols, like []() etc. are located on different buttons on an american keyboard compared to e.g. a swedish one. So when I push shift+8 I usually get "(", but here I get "*".
