The conclusion is "[Fictional equivalent of Satan] would approve greatly", so I'd assume it's a joke. (Also, the scheme would be super impractical to monetize)

In general, Valve is really consumer-friendly when it comes to hardware. I recently destroyed my Index's tether cable, mostly my fault, and their tech support sent me a new one for free with very little hassle, and with instructions on

I'm not sure Netflix Open Connect counts as a CDN? They might still use distributed servers from AWS.

FWIW r/actuallesbians is extremely supportive towards trans women. (I don't know subreddits for trans men) But even then, abusive PMs are still a problem.

I was thinking about a recent article about drivers who said they had to cross highways on foot because the app thought it was a road and would penalize them if they drove the long way around. I dunno. Maybe the Amazon's warehouse syst

There's this joke I often see about homeschooling: "I didn't want my kid to miss out on the high school social experience, so I beat him up and stole his lunch money."

Sounds like post-hoc rationalization to me. With that reasoning, you could also decide that classes shouldn't be mixed-gender, because boys might bully girl or girls might bully boys, and it's better to keep everyone in a group of

I have no experience whatsoever with warehouses, so this is just speculation, but I suspect a big problem of these systems is they don't degrade gracefully in new situations. So maybe the system has gives you "bonus time" if

At this point, I'm pretty sure any "human" pattern machines can find, other machines can fake. Simulating how a human would move a cursor towards a position definitely seems like something deep learning could approximate for

My guess: Big Oil, Big Pharma, Monsanto, etc, are old money. Big Tech is new money. I'd wager that this one difference is the root of all the discrepancies you noticed.

Assuming you're referring to AOC going to the MET Gala, I feel you're implying she spent $35k of taxpayer money to get there, while she was in fact invited. Calling it "nihilistic" is a bit strong considering the robe ma

Sure. And if your game has civilians, rappers, pop stars, people on the beach, gangsters, etc, then it makes sense for the women to have revealing outfits. When your characters are space marines, monks, mages, armored knights, etc, and all

Part of the problem is that writing a script is a logistical problem as well as a writing problem. You have to account for actors maybe not being available, scenes getting cut, action scenes being shot early for various reasons which means

I wasn't saying outfits should be gender-neutral. My point was that GP was implying that sexualization was a gender-neutral problem (eg they were referring to "attractive people", not "attractive women"). It's

I think at least part of that is a status game. Conspicuous expense is important and sought after, because by making that expense you show an un-fakeable signal that you are important and can afford the expense. People place the same value
