Not yet, but perhaps in the near future. The National Space Society has a proposal up for capturing 99942 Apophis via gravitational slingshot, which would be fairly damaging if we managed to crash it.

Kill claims are notoriously overestimated during this period, frequently by ratios of 5:1 or more. The only reliable way to estimate kills is to look at enemy records and see how many aircraft were recorded as lost during a given period. Ta

De Gama and Magellan actually had a reason for their expeditions, namely, making shitloads of money in trade. Let me know when Mars ceases to be anything but a colossal gravity well for us to throw money into.

Panzer is just the German generic term for tank (or more literally, "armor".) Everything from the tiny, machine-gun armed Panzer I, to the Panzer VI Tiger. The standard, 75mm Sherman was roughly equal to the long-barreled Panzer

You'll need to cite sources for Chicxulub or any other impact producing temperatures like that globally. It is thought that Chicxulub may have produced global firestorms, before a period of global cooling. The point still stands: it&#x

The threat from asteroids is that years of perpetual winter shut down our agriculture for years or even decades. But even in the case of a really massive, Chicxulub sized impact, earth will remain more hospitable than mars. The temperatures
