You’re right, it’s all performative. Meta will do what it takes to keep regulators off its back and reduce friction. If Dems are in power then they’ll do fact checks and DEI. If they aren’t then they’ll get rid of it. They’re like fair weat

I’m just butting in here and I thought you were wrong. However I looked it up and indeed you are right. The creative talent are all Korean but they couldn’t get a studio to fund production for their show. Netflix was approached and liked th

I’m sorry you’re having to deal with your friend’s suffering. Unfortunately there’s no hack that will help with GBM in any meaningful way. The best thing you can hope for is that the pathologist made a mistake and it’s Astrocytoma rather th

UW used to cultivate this kind of thing. Pretty sad that administrators choke the life out of everything. I suppose it’s the story of America.

The kids don’t party and fuck like we used to? I guess we’re old.

It certainly could be. There’s the old Greek myth of Pandora’s box - the last entity to emerge is ‘hope’. Is that the worst monster or greatest gift to humanity? I feel like I fall in the former camp. But that’s OK - I still move forward in

It’s just sugar, fat, and salt but at scale. No need for more. Get it when you want and as much as you want. Doctors will say you can be healthy at size and advertisers will tell you to be body positive. Then when you’re over served and obe

I agree. I think happiness and “well-being” are not actual realities. There is only the pursuit of happiness. And that pursuit can be manipulated for financial gain. I think the very best you can achieve is being a child or failing that con

I agree. Lots of work to block, mute, and hide. In fact that was most of my time on it recently until I deleted it. Either you join the bot run hive mind or spend your time managing rather than consuming entertainment.

Thank you for the summary! I could only read the abstract. Did you see the nature of the induced spinal cord injuries? Were they crush injuries or transection type?

Extreme solipsism is a navel gazing Boltzmann brain. The runners up are brains in jars and simulation theory. I feel like a Boltzmann brain knowing that it’s a Boltzmann brain is too good to be true. Might as well make the god of Abraham ou

It matters because of entropy. How many people can society carry before it suddenly can’t? Civilization doesn’t persist from inertia.

Well, 71% of the world’s surface is ocean and about 10% is desert. So that’s over 81% of the planet. I think we can now both agree that you are completely wrong and I am completely right.

Attention building requires work and discipline. It’s really hard to build it up and so easy to lose it. This is just more idiocracy. More and more. Oh well.
