Have a look at the post - it explains how it works. There are two models: a 7-9Hz 7B vision-language model, and a 200Hz 80M visuomotor model. The former produces a latent vector, which is then interpreted by the latter to drive the motors.

Users might care about why the thing they're using has been falling apart, or why development has slowed, or why news updates have grown scarce, or why the majority of the original development team resigned.

Yep. Read the first few paragraphs and immediately noticed the stink. Using it as an assistant is fine, but you really shouldn't leave what it outputs untouched, especially when it's this obvious!

Can you provide a rough description of the class of the task? No details, obviously, but enough to understand what the models are struggling with.

What does the additional flexibility get you? It's just one less thing to worry about when coordinating with a team, and it's easy to shift between different versions for a project if need be.

Don't forget having to frame the shot, making sure it's in focus, ensuring your subject doesn't get distracted by your motion, and not fumbling your phone in the hurry to capture the moment... as opposed to pressing a button

You've suggested a device that takes away the one thing they need (the ability to perceive the world without sight) and replaced it with the one thing they don't need (the ability to overlay content onto sight).

HN will implicitly modify the title, including uppercasing acronyms. Very possible this was one of those changes.

From the original article: > At the other extreme, you can write Windows 95 setup as a 32-bit GUI program, but that means that if the user is starting from MS-DOS or Windows 3.1, you have to install Windows 95 before you can run Windows

Yes, sorry, I should have clarified: pointers to the WASM memory, not host memory. You need to copy data into the memory in order to use it.

To further explain: the standard WASM ABI is essentially just a C ABI, so you can pass integers and pointers around, but you can't do much more; anything more complex needs to be built on top of that, which precludes binding to the DOM
