Oh, I see the point you are raising. Yes, if your reason for educating and empowering women is so they will have fewer children (statistically) then yeah, definitely need to questioned.

Isn't that just straight up copyright infringement? I understand that it's common in developer tooling to pick a character and use them as a logo, but it seems like a bold move to do that with some sort of external tooling at Mozi

One uses coerced sterilizations and the other is about raising the level of education of half the population? It should be pretty clear why improving education is not a yikes while eugenics is.

There's a lot of history there, unfortunately. The US medical establishment has a long track record of experimenting on Black people -- from performing experimental surgery (without anesthetic) on slaves to infecting Black US soldiers

I'm not sure you are describing the situation here. What other things did these workers try? What other avenues were available to them? (Also, destroying corporate property is not violence.)

Depends on your model of capital flow. One reasonable answer would be the factory owners or investors. Another reasonable answer is that the workers did, because their work led enabled the factory to succeed.

Your statement is ambiguous. I assume you mean the exploitation of these workers (by continuing to reduce their wages) is not a good look?

There's an interesting parallel to the Luddites here, who smashed looms. The Luddites were not, as is commonly misunderstood, anti technology. They were a well trained workforce who disagreed with the idea that improvements in technolo

Your concern here is, "what worries me here is what if exploited workers stood up for themselves?" Not the slowing global economy. Not the exploitation of thousands of workers. Not the realization that the products we rely on are

Most of us enjoy going to a thing called a "store" where there are usually a variety of options to choose from, where one can easily compare side by side from different manufacturers.

Night watchmen aren't police. Personally, I believe it's dangerous to conflate the two -- modern police departments are very, very different than the more community organized (or elected) folks who watched over small towns. Organi

Night watches, tithings, posses, militias, and sheriffs are not the same thing as police departments. And even still, the vast majority of night watches were privately funded in America.
