No, it's telling that people like you have watered that word down so much that people don't trust it anymore. So yes, if someone says "they're a great programmer, but they're racist" I'm going to ask, how

This is so obnoxious. I ended up deleting all the memory from Gemini because it ended every response with, "As an engineer, father of X, you'll love this because...". As if I want my occupation and the number of children I

I suppose you also think that users shouldn't be able to type slurs into a Word document? Or are you admitting that you're inconsistent?

This is a great example on why Elon is right. AI should be a tool that does the users bidding, and not a moral agent that nerfs itself to protect some arbitrary line it has.

It is rewritten on every refresh depending on the readers mood, personality, etc.. so they're most receptive to it. Obviously not, but we might not be far off from that being a reality.

I completely agree. Circles were great. Unfortunately, they're one of the things that killed Google+. I remember reading an article from one of the creators of Google+ years and years ago. They talked about how asymmetric friending

Preventing the number one sponsor of terrorism from getting a nuke absolutely saves people. Even if you don't like the externalities of it. Or is the HN crowd still believing the "we just want nuclear energy (with highly enriched

For the most part, we did, actually. We had plenty of energy and computer until AI came along. Energy will get fully solved eventually. To think otherwise is to bet against humanities ability to innovate, which I don't think is ever

I think the opposite. AI will get cheaper as models become more efficient and we solve the datacenter/energy problem. I bet 10 years from now AI, that is way better than what we have today, will be close to free.

Why is the WNBA alarming at all (other than the fact that we shouldn't be throwing dildos on the court at all, of course)? I'm just not sure why anyone would take a bet against someone who can single handedly make their side win.

$500 for 2-3 years is great. And it will last much longer than that in reality. It's pretty plain to see that the Neo eats any competitors lunch at that price point. It isn't close.
