You hate LLM writing, so you took human written words and ran them through an LLM to read it? Hate to break it to you, but you don't hate LLM writing.

The second China shuts down open weights is the second they lose the AI race. Nobody is going to use Chinese models if they're closed, besides hobbyists who don't have anything they care about getting stolen.

Something about your comment comes across as AI to me. I can't really place my finger on it. It's too subtle for that. It's more the vibe of your entire comment that makes me feel it. Please, when commenting on HN, don'

The fact that Star Wars like droids seem to be likely within our lifetime is WILD. It's crazy how normal everyone is acting about this.

The idea that AI curing cancer, heart disease, aging (you get the idea) won't be a money maker because "clinical trials" is absurd. Of course it will be. Obviously it isn't the same thing as coding agents. But a lot of

Why is it relevant what those outside would say about the US? Or what those outside of any country would say about any country. The job of a country is to do what is best for it. It's better for the US to not help China develop AI t

There are many reasons for a lot of things, until you overcome those reasons. That's the point of innovation. There are many reasons not to make a reusable rocket too.

AI model inspects hundreds of thousands of scientific images. A job that previously took an expert roughly a month can now be completed in around 15 minutes.

Why not? Seems like a cop out. Being able to ask questions to small open models seems.... obviously useful?

As someone on the Apple beta.. the model is almost completely irrelevant to the experience. Apple has gone and done Apple things by nerfing the experience so completely that almost any model in the past year would be fine. I still reach fo

Nothing you said here can't be applied to literally any company on earth. And nothing you said here is even a new concern.

People have been saying this since GPT-1. This idea that we can only squeeze a little bit more of intelligence out of LLMs isn't a new one. And thus far, it has always been wrong.

So many people on HN don't understand coding with AI at all. I honestly think they just haven't done it. AI does not take the grind out of coding. Plain and simple. I've been working on a project in the evening for months

Sprinting requires significantly different physical form than just bigger motors. I do not accept the claim that humans couldn't possibly make bipedal robots that can reliably walk without being able to sprint. That's absurd.

No, it's a test of how good an AI is at completing this given task. You can't extrapolate beyond that, and that is what makes this article so annoying. Grok got good at the task that was given. That doesn't mean that Grok
