This seems like a pretty flawed idea and an attempt to justify the incredible amount of electricity required by bitcoin. If bitcoin was changed to require a fraction the amount of electricity all of these ideas would suddenly fall apart. Bu

There is no way that's true. No matter how far a person wandered they're not going to come across a bell pepper, lettuce, carrots, potatoes and any meat they could want.

This is very interesting, do you go through it every now and then to remove stale content and dead links? If I did something like this I just know I'd get into the habit of adding everything I read vs adding things that actually help m

I have been doing this successfully for the last 8 years (and in the later years earning significantly more than I could as an employee in Europe) so hopefully my advice can help you. You need to figure out if you just want to be an individ

Check out AWS Amplify, it strips away a lot of the complexity and time consuming config work.

We have had clients that need it for content licensing requirements, it doesn't make sense to allow users to choose their region in a scenario where content is region dependent. Of course, you can just get around this with a VPN.

Judging by your response (and the amount of comments you've made in this thread) I don't think you really took the time to think about my comment. We obviously didn't chose black list or white list to donate race but regardle

The simple way that I think of it is how black/white list is constantly reinforcing in your head that black is bad and white is good.

The whole idea is to remove the subconscious bias that it creates in our minds, always associating black with bad and white with good in the case of blacklist and white list. None of this has any effect on me and I don't see the negati

I'm excited for this too and I was very excited a couple of years ago when Android launched instant apps which were the exact same idea, but they never took off. Hopefully with Apples tighter control of NFC in their phones and better m

Yes, it's also against the rules to auto select all of the trackers as accepted but many sites still do this. By default everything should be deselected and you need to accept all of them to allow tracking. I've found that sites a

Even if you are on the fence I hope you're taking measures now and having older relatives isolate. If you're not, a couple of weeks from now you will look back and regret being on the fence. Look after yourself.

It would depend on the scope of what people are trying to achieve, at a certain point of complexity you pass from being a "non programmer" to being a programmer due to all of the inferred learning you get from experience. I know a

Instagram is currently hiding likes in Ireland as part of a test, only the person who uploads the photo sees how many people like it. It will be interesting to see if they roll it out everywhere or decide against it.
