I don't know why this is something worth mentioning. If some one can MITM your HTTP requests, they can just as easily MITM your DNS and SNI etc.

This is like when you have an issue with Firefox. Disable all your addons and create a new profile...

Yea I don't understand their viewpoint. No one is forcing you to look at every single slack message as soon as it arrives.

Depends how you encode it. A bunch QR codes, no problem. But encoding into the individual pixel, probably not so much.

If static hosting is the purpose, just put cloud front in front if it.

FWIW S3 is not a CDN, CloudFront is, but yes it seems cheaper. But no doubt there are other differences, like less edges, no lambda@edge, etc.

This would take so many hours to actually run though, probably weeks for that amount of data.

Like every time I have a support issue and the company has a chat widget, like my ISP, mobile provider, etc. I almost exclusively use the chat support in AWS.

Anecdotally I have the opposite experience. On my 2 computers (MBP/Win10 Desktop) Chrome starts up near instantly and Firefox has a noticeable delay. I just tried it and it took about 5 seconds to load. Not that this is really a deal b

Which Spring AI was this? I don't remember any of them being any good. I made a Spring AI back in the day (it wasn't very good either).

Anecdotally after migrating from RDS MySQL to serverless Aurora there was a noticeable slowdown of our dashboard and reporting tools. Our typical workloads (ecommerce transactions) are slightly slower on average, but the peaks seem down.

Oracle would just sue them back for Aurora's MySQL compatibility. If not sue them first.

What really pains me is the X% of users still on Safari 9. Not only does it not support a lot of new features, but how do you even test it? At least IE11 I can easily spin up a free VM to test.

There is a few options, such as using AWS Cognito, or signed requests. I personally use signed requests which allows you to specify where and what type of files are allowed to be uploaded. First the user asks my server for a policy and sign

This is completely wrong. HTTPS is what secures this, not client side password hashing. If you don't use HTTPS, you can just get MITM'd to disable any kind of client side hashing.

Well if you don't mind rewriting tables, just create a table in the new structure, insert data from the old table to the new one, drop the old table, and rename the new table.
