More like if the motor maker gets replaced by a motorised machine. And yeah, that’s poetic. The electrician is more like the person laying fibre optic cable.

I see it more as replacing shitty code monkeys because it leaves the hard parts behind.

I have meetings, but those are very focussed. I crave the human interaction around the coffee machine/water cooler. A cafe doesn't really lead to casual friendships. But yes, I have started going out for pizza at lunch just to be

That code will it just needs to be in the proper context. No the same file will not compile, even if only because javac needs files to end with .java .

No mention of loneliness? There are times when I end up going days without seeing another human soul. You don’t always notice it until you start disassociating and reflect. I try to go out to buy lunch just to see people.

For those who missed it, “antimony” is element 51 so it’s not just a pun on “anti-“ but a reference to another element. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antimony

First thing I noticed was > rule = definition; comment CR LF ...so it uses CR/LF as a line terminator as opposed to just LF like POSIX does so you are gonna have text editors and other tools just breaking the format on save.

That’s just obtuse. Compare Lisp, Forth, APL, Prolog, Ada, or Fortran. Java is just C++ with a few twists. You can literally write code that will compile in both.

Yes, tax Honda specifically. I mean, it can't just tax Honda specifically as a "bill of attainder" issue, so it'd need to be phrased as something like "companies whose production has been deemed transferred due to f

i386 isn't even supported by Linux anymore and has less power than a Raspberry Pi. It's not the indicator of the future of anything. It might be nostalgic, but it's ewaste and better served by a Pi.
