Yeah unfortunately Debugger Canvas was scrapped after Visual Studio 2010. Haha, yeah that's an artifact that's no longer present in current versions. It was including the tabs as part of the content of the function. So that's

How would you enforce that? First, hashing every byte of every loaded DLL destroys your runtime. Second, if you're able to modify one DLL, you could overwrite whatever DLL was tasked with computing the checksum.

DLLs are signed. But they aren't checked every time a DLL is loaded. It absolutely obliterates load time if you have to go through every byte of all your DLLs and hash them. (You have the option to turn this on within the registry, tho

I know a lot of people here balk at the idea of paying for tooling, but Red Gate's Reflector[1] is absolutely amazing for situations like this. Not only is it a decompiler, but it allows you to decompile at debug-time and step into thi

I'm not sure how this is releveant; how can YCombinator influence this? The disparity in education has already taken full effect by the time people apply to YC. It's great that YC has taken steps towards gender equality, but I don

Haha it's funny that you've cited that post as I'm complaining that it's getting flagged in the comments... I guess the point is that HN is a black box to us regular users and it's tough to speculate on how and why

It's always impressive to see an individual with a really good eye for design and the technical chops to bring it to life alone. Building a site as beautiful as this must have left you inundated with job offers. It's really aweso

I know I've definitely been hesitant to post in the past for being called out for self-promotion or something. I think formalizing it like this will encourage a lot of people to share who might otherwise not.

I'm curious if anyone is noticed the flickering Loading icon when the .mp4 version loops? It only shows up for 50 ms, but seems kind of annoying. Or maybe it's just my machine? Here's a cap: http://imgur.com/
