FAKEGRIMLOCK seems very relevant to this site as he created a brand out of nothing and I find most of his short comments insightful. So the interview is a nice read on his tactics even if it's a bit shallow. I just hope we don't have tons

I'm of the impression, that for the most part, college is about networking. The material is a side benefit that you could pick up on your own. It feels like he picked up on that(joining the fraternity) and decided the rest wasn't worth the

The app feels much like the WebOS version, so I will guess that they borrowed some of the WebOS code and used it in the iPad version to save time.

This reminds me of a situation when I first signed up for linode... my password on my account inexplicably changed one day(I use lastpass so no I did not type the randomly generated password wrong). I contacted support and they fixed it, bu

The annoying popups on the bottom of the article actually get in the way of reading it, to a point where I just close the page. They are definitely not following their own advice.

Just get out there, do the work, keep failing until you succeed. You don't have time to think about being realistic.

This article touches on asking questions. There's a distinct separation between people that won't learn for themselves and those that have the focus to learn for themselves. You need the knowledge on how to seek things out for yourself if y

How did they know about my Facebook usage habits? Is this a thickly veiled privacy article? Though seriously, it's easy to look back in retrospect and summarize webapps like this. It would have been more interesting if they discussed what t

The advancement of artificial intelligence, not sure where to start, but I guess that's the point of this. If I had no concerns about money I would devote most of my free time to it.

I had nothing listed under the demographics, which baffles me because I use chrome, always logged in search, gmail, g+, picasa, etc Very quite odd that they don't profile me. With that said, I obviously do not care if they know all this inf

Gestures are one thing, scrolling is another. To get a look at the immense difference in usability, check out an app like flipboard vs feedly, one uses vertical-scrolling and the other uses side-scrolling. I very much prefer the vertical sc

I think that the author of this post might be missing that he could be a bit biased because generally people surround themselves with others that share the same hobbies and opinions. I still find many of the people I meet daily are complete

Beware of a Chrome extension called "Hacker News Sidebar", it presumably got me IP banned this week. It cross checks every page visited with HN to see if it has a thread and if so, displays the thread. Here is the extension: https://chrom

I own a touchpad and without a developed app base it feels so rigid to me. I don't want to share links by email I want to share them through my various online accounts. I don't want to multitask by navigating to cards I want to have in-app

This has everything I've thought to ask Siri and more... I'm very impressed. I hope Apple plans on supporting and iterating Siri rather than forgetting about it like they occasionally seem to do...
