Practically every time a corporation ends up polluting the environment the government ends up paying for it.

It is funny because we now know that in the 1970s there were far more randos kidnapping people than today. The FBI actually got pretty good at these crimes.

Everything can be expressed in financial terms- it is one of the guiding principles of the universe. Anyone who thinks they are above or beyond it will rue the day.

Look up the US deficit- they have been subsidizing everything since the 1980s.

How do you become jaded with something you do not have access to? Has universal healthcare ever been tried in the US?

Yeah the computer is never flying the plane it is always the pilots who have final decision. Which is ofcourse also why the computer will let you fly into a mountain if you want.

I use several layers of ad/tracking/privacy filters that I honestly have no idea what the internet is supposed to look like. It is still terrible I presume?

Spending days of negotiating on eBay with annoying strangers and packing it all up for a few lousy hundred is not my idea of a good time. Let the workers at the recycling center sift through the stuff they are welcome to it.

Yep this is exactly it. So many people with their childhood nostalgia not understanding that GameStop are and always have been a pawnshop. Deadbeat dad selling their kids videogames to buy meth. The pawnshop industry is incredibly depressin

The government asking race questions on official forms would be rather unthinkable! We don't mention the war.

Lots of old airports are a clusterfuck. Those places were built in the middle of nowhere 70-100 years ago but now find themselves practically inside the megacity. Increased traffic and incredibly complicated approach routes does the rest.

Yeah when Americans talk about how bad a deal NATO is they always conveniently forget the military bases. Most of their wars tend to involve Ramstein for example.

No it is just that capitalism is a cancer. Nobody has actually cracked the code on how capitalism can work without perpetual growth. Leaders are looking at Japan and they are panicking. Fascists are demanding more white babies.

I live close to the Belgian border. Some time ago there was concern about Belgian reactors (they are old and their concrete was fracturing) and they were distributing iodine pills. Keeping them open even longer just sounds peak Belgium.

The real advantage of Microsoft is that there is someone you can sue! Linux like every open source project is just a bunch of people who are YOLOing it. Not something you use for your fortune 500 critical mission infrastructure.
