For all the complaints leveled at Apple, their accessibility on their OS's is astounding. It is said if we live long enough, we all will be disabled at some point.

Pretty much. I mean, best of luck to them. One has to try if anything is to change but I have seen this kind of thing so many times. Filled with enthusiasm but lacking in execution. The whole 'Real artists ship' thing in action.

I really don't know with this. By that I mean all logic says that, yes this is absolutely a bubble. But the markets have been irrational for a very long time now, just look at Tesla stock and it wild valuations for years now as an exam

I mean by this point it should be expected. Apple hasn't really backed gaming in meaningful way since the original Mac in 1984.

The other day I tried Midtown madness, something that has become a bit of an issue to run on Windows. It took less than a minute to install and booted first time via Wine. It is amazing seeing just how well it works and feels almost like a

One would assume but I do wonder how much long term damage they are doing for short term gains with this drive? I'm not a believer in "the year of linux desktop!?!!?" and all that, but it achieved a level of robustness about

An aside based on what you have mentioned. What the heck happened to Windows file manager? I mean it used to be that Windows was rock solid while Linux variants had various parsing performance/stability issues. Now it feels like it is

Many have called it COP-out for years simply because of how useless it has been, or worse yet actually is used to tighten the relationship better countries and companies that handle high emissions with the incentive to double down. That and

As one of the main developers of Krita said, just being free isn't good enough, the software needs to be great. I am in favour of simplified apps like this, maybe it can be a simple toggle switch in the top right corner between simple

Notch has said a lot of things over the years. Many after the sale to Microsoft were not so great. Suddenly without purpose and more money than he would ever need in a life time, he found a new purpose that wasn't so great. A lot of Qa

Pretty much. Try driving from Perth to Broome in a day. It is about 24hours of straight driving and it is still a good 10 hours to the boarder.

Humans think on a scale of seconds, minutes, hours, and days. Nature operates at a scale of years, decades, centuries, and millennia. This mismatch is our biggest problem.

That will be one of many things they will not forgive us for. Alas most of us in developed countries have treated the world as a dumping ground for our excess.

I do think we will end up in a de-growth position but I fear what that will mean on a humanitarian level. Not so much a de-growth with social purpose (no not eco-fascism stuff!), but a post-growth with panic.

This has been a growing trend for decades now. For many western nations the response has been to import more people primarily from the Asian continent. And while this has worked to keep the numbers high, it hasn't addressed the fundame

By the time this happens, it will have been a 7 year transition. That isn't too bad considering the original Rosetta only got 5. I do have sympathy for those that still use this in their daily work flow, but also... this is Apple. This

I think the last time I had Windows installed was right around the release of Proton in 2018. Those initial releases were not great but the trend was very obvious. There comes a point were you just don't miss it. The only moments that

Out of the 150-isg games in my library, the only one I have had any issue with is 'From Dust' released in 2011. This is part because of the Ubisoft launcher and some video codex issues, but even so. Switching the too and from the
