It's depressing when all the biggest governmental agencies in the world can catch are a few teenagers with scripts. At the same time we just accept multimillion crime groups and governments wrecking havoc because they're just too darn hard

Telecommuting isn't on offer. Back in the 80s, when they promised that by year 2000 almost everyone would be working from home, they were lying. I feel more cheated on this than on personal jet-packs. I don't work in a startup, it's just a

Hmmm, gives me an idea. Maybe if I ran all the songs through sox to create a spectrogram for each and then use graphicsmagick on the spectrograms to count up the black pixels (silence or quiet sound) I could create a playlist of solid and c

I'm fine with you not supporting my browser but if you use a whitelist and block me from the website just based on my user agent string then I'll spoof it. Some websites already do that and it pisses me off when the website turns out to be

I do actually sometimes do that - move the work over to the afternoon but I don't want to do it as it means staying longer at the office. The work efficiency difference is massive but it's my time.

My current, not very imaginative solution is to use headphones and listen to heavy metal music. I use regular, closed back, circumaural headphones. IEMs aren't comfortable enough to use all day, and noise cancelling headphones don't work on

I think it's lovely, dubstep notwithstanding. What if this campaign proved to bring positive results - would it be OK then? Or do ends not justify the means?

Is this meant to be for real? I thought it was just conceptual. I'm really conflicted, I like the concept (bitcoin and mesh-networks, yay!) of a card like that but I don't believe it's feasible and hate the business plans for it.

I don't think courts are in a position to rule on quality of products unless it's blatant false advertising. I'd love to discuss this but my next job is likely to involve Unreal as well. All hail our lords at Epic. So instead I'll disagree

Are there any devices that can take advantage of those speeds? Maybe in the future but then you should wait because the cards will get cheaper every year.

Unreal would be my first choice. A company recently sued Epic for how crap it is but they lost. Still, the fact that they did sue them in the first place tells you a lot but I'm not allowed to have an opinion. If I could sue a language I'd

You'll get more specific answers if you give more background. What country are you coming from (or at least is it a EU country)? Where in London do you want to live and do you want to flatshare? The first person pronoun 'I' in the English l

Flawless and clear presentation, instant results. Sorry, can't see anything wrong with it so can't offer constructive feedback. Maybe ditch the background? Seems so out of place. Sadly it reminds me how badly I'm doing.

Netbooks are not desktops. The market rejected netbooks altogether in favour of notebooks and tablets. What's the other thing holding Linux back from the desktop in your opinion that ranks higher than either of reasons I mentioned?

This is really good news. I think the second most important thing holding Linux back in taking over the desktops (after OEMs) is gaming. But if you look at Humble Indie Bundles and kickstarter (so many projects using Unity and/or promising

The best thing about how big skype is is that they have to maintain backwards compatibility (hardware skype phones that can't upgrade) so you can use whatever old version you want and it has to be supported by them. Which means you can stic
