This would be more comparable to packaging a Java program into an executable, which would have to also contain the JIT. I don't think it's fair to compare a JIT'd language to a AOT'd language.

Your homepage convinced me to download, the software reminds me a lot of Microsoft Money, which was one of my favorite tools due to its simplicity. Only complaint is no dark mode, but really cool!

I know this is an excerpt, but there are a lot more reasons that concurrency is hard. One of the biggest ones is that your concurrency can look like it works, until it doesn't. Made worse by the fact that real-world concurrency can be

Question to anyone more knowledgeable about swift, why does it recommend against using atomics? It makes a joke about thread sanitizer, but what actual steps do you have to go through to use atomics in swift safely?

I've used it for uni assignments the last few years. Only complaints are that sometimes I can't find the thing I need, and sometimes font rendering is weird (usually fixed by re-selecting the broken text?) Great piece of software,

The small text also said DLSS iirc, so non-dlss games and machine learning loads probably aren't 2x.

I legitimately still think pions is one of the only good webrtc libraries out there, an absolute pleasure to use. The same day I learned go in 30 minutes, I converted 4k lines to use pions and the result was fantastically stable. Keep it up

Related, 2 months ago my sendgrid account gets hacked and a stolen (I presume) credit card gets added. They buy a plan, then proceed to send spam/phishing. I of course contact their support within minutes of receiving an email that $75

This is a shot in the dark, but I had taken antibiotics to treat an infection twice last fall, then suddenly this summer have been having unexplainable (so far) stomach issues. Given the somewhat longer period after taking the antibiotics,

So this says it impacts Windows, but it seems to only be an issue with grub?

Just a warning, this method is considered piracy. Not that I'm placing judgement on anyone who goes his route.

Messing around I tried this with the rap album MBDTF and didn't get much luck (lots of stuff tossed in the "Other" category, vocals sound terrible.) Then I tried it on the indie album Bambi and got much better results. Seems

Not to oversimplify, but it's like a VPN that you have access to all the external ports on the IP?

Yep, rx 570/580s are selling for great used prices on eBay. I pretty much recommend them to anyone going a budget build.

I don't work with hardware, but this looks fantastic for viewing visual changes and sharing feedback. Looks exactly how I'd imagine it should work.

Taking Portland Ave and Park Ave are great in Minneapolis, but I agree about cars in the front speeding, slamming on their breaks for the red, the going again. I wonder if there should be a new sign for green waves, or maybe we could just m

I recently set up my mother a new desktop, which I realized her suite of software was small enough to get running on Linux. I set up kubuntu, then wine with Microsoft money and she adjusted within a day (without a single question of me!) No

Yeah I've messed with dynamic range a bit, even got caught by the 24/96 hype for a while. But after running my own blind tests, I couldn't tell any difference with it.

I disagree. I have a stock sound system that I can easily tell the difference between a 320kbps MP3 and a CD flac in a blind test. I don't believe I have any special hearing as pretty much anyone I'm with can tell the difference.
