The figure "Major Decisions" from this very article bolsters your point. The trades have some of the lowest satisfaction ratings.

Are there examples of RefMut::map_split? It seems pretty useful if it does what I think it does.

I've noticed that when a side project becomes a Patreon project, suddenly more time is spent with community involvement; blog posts, live streams, etc. Even $100 a month creates this implicit reporting obligation to keep the community

This reminds me of a section of the book "Why we sleep"[1] that said similar techniques could enhance an older persons sleep quality. (I don't know the title of the study unfortunately.) It looks like this is an exciting area

This was my experience when I was at Mozilla converting a part of Firefox to Rust. It also feels like a lot of Rust's safety guarantees go out the window when you are using the C FFI to talk between C++ and Rust. I'm not sure how

Privatization isn't the issue. A lot of the abuses you see in private prisons, you see in public prisons. I recommend anyone read "Locked In: The True Causes of Mass Incarceration and How to Achieve Real Reform"[1] by John Pf

When I interned at Mozilla, most of the FF devs developed on a Mac. They are not ignoring the platform. I suspect the issue is as other said, low incidence, high impact. It seems like they are aware of the issue: https://bugzilla

It seems unlikely that FF will ever be completely written in Rust. More likely that new bits that get added are Rust, and many of the old bits stay C++. If FF gets rewritten in Rust, it will be a decades long effort.
