Yup. While I appreciated the points he made in "Antifragile", the writing itself wasn't as enjoyable as it was in "Fooled by Randomness" or "The Black Swan". I haven't read "Skin in the Game"

The first time I read Talebs Black Swan was pretty mind bending. It's a intriguing mix of philosophy, history and the application of probabilistic thinking. It's also a great aggregator book. It introduced me to the works of Kahne

This also seems quite similar to repl.it, which I've been enjoying a lot recently. I wonder if they'll support plugins and importing other VS Code settings to the online editor.

As a finn, I did not expect to see this on the front page of HN. Ever. But did not know about the military use of the song. Very interesting.

The "Out of Beta" podcast which you co-host (and document your Summit journey) has been a blast. Thanks for that and good luck with Summit.

Multiple people have brought up Econtalk and Conversations with Tyler. Those two are my top 2 as well. If you're into pop culture (sports, music, TV and Movies) I'd also recommend the Bill Simmons podcast. The interviews are usual

Econtalk is by far my favorite podcast and it blows my mind that one can get quality content like it free.

I've been building a web app with Django (+ DRF, Next.js and React) recently again for the first time in two years and it sure is a joy. My biggest gripe with it is that it leaves the business logic side of things totally up to the dev

As a comment to your first paragraph, I've found pyenv combined with its virtualenv plugin to be a decently consistent experience.

I'm a little baffled, how is this possible? Surely their core business is profitable and the losses are because of investments in new growth areas?

I've never taken an Udemy class, but am sure there's quality content on the website. However, I've always felt that the way they show their prices is a little fishy. Looking at their offering now, all of the courses are price

Very much off-topic, but is HBR worth the subscription if I'd like to learn about management and in general about good business practices?

Meh. I'd wish Microsoft and Google would start separating their actual cloud platform (Azure, GCP) revenues from their "cloud" SaaS revenue (Office 365, G Suite). It'd make comparisons to AWS a lot more meaningful. Edit:

Sure, but one would then assume that in the age of automation, our productivity rates would be skyrocketing. It seems that that hasn't been the trend after the great recession [1]. Not to say that it couldn't change, but seems to
