Like the concept, but especially for live feeds, seems expensive? at $3456/month/camera ? Is this not your use-case (it's the first one on your use-cases page)? Or am I missing something? Congrats on the launch!

Not bad, but it seems to ignore newlines in the input. I pasted in newlines in the famous Pulp Fiction quote: https://fakeyou.com/tts/result/TR:d1yw37dftm42ayt34h17scy1n8...

I liked the article, but would also expect a version with an auto_increment integer ID, and an indexed UUID field. The ID can be used 'internally' - for joins and indexes, the UUID as external ID. Best of both worlds?

When I was a student (so I thought I was smart), I got to pick up a bunch of desks at a moving company. How hard could that be... The (older) gentleman working at the moving company saw us struggle for a few minutes, then asked us to move a

I'm not sure I would catch this in a human written paper: The result is the same: One group splits into two. Who splits from whom is then semantics, right?

Most SAAS db providers provide their database over the internet, but secured with a login/pass. Eg all DB's on Heroku elements marketplace work like this.

But that makes sense, right? 0,1 Amps = 2,4 amps/day, many cars have a ~60 Ah battery, so that would be empty in 25 days (and probably in less than that doesn't have enough power to start the engine).

I work for a small hotel chain, and have often joked about the tech stack if apple would run a hotel (with no legacy)... Time to see how it will actually look! (Although I guess they'll outsource the management to a hotel chain)

I always really liked this approach: Instead of every car smart by replacing them, make dumb cars (a bit) smarter with a connected device. Even once pitched a competitor to this service. That said, I'm wondering what the impact of Cov

Anybody found info on the max frame rate? High frame rate is super common in phones but hard to find elsewhere, and I need it for a project...

The USA could pay 6B/day for over a year of the current stimulus package. And that would be paying for the whole world. For the Netherlands it’s a similar amount (for a year) as what we just put in one airline. So it’s peanuts. Employe

You mean places like... Amsterdam? Plenty of rain here. That won't stop people from biking. If the majority of people own a bike, but not a car, biking becomes the default. Even with rain.

I keep seeing this as a main issue with EV's. But it's something that can be changed. In Amsterdam most streets have electric charging points. The city made it really easy to apply for one, and lets you skip the (multi-year) waitl

I was excited about this, as I need to update our architecture diagrams. However, first feedback: * Heroku didn't return anything in the search * AWS API gateway neither. * ok, I'll start from our webserver (on heroku). No general

Secrid wallets prevent this attack, and are quite popular here in the Netherlands (where almost all bank cards are NFC enabled). Funny enough they are more popular for their form factor, than the NFC shielding that was their core feature.

Just sitting here behind my desk, running a speedtest, I get 210Mbit(!!) out of my iPhone 7, over the T-Mobile network. No optimisations at all, not on a high roof or taped to a mast. Doesn't get more real-world than that.
