I am aware of Kanban’s origin and also of the checklist manifesto. My question wanted to stimulate pondering/debating about what a “methodology” is supposed to be and what, exactly, is trying to accomplish . A lot of the comments se

I have a question: can someone describe something akin to what we call “methodology” in a completely different field? Does “scrum for surgery” exist? What is an equivalent of “waterfall” in warfare? Does something like this exist at all?

Yes - I agree, the point is that most of the time an Excel "app" is solving a very specific problem using data coming from some other (internally managed, usually legacy) system. Like: I run a report, transform the result in .csv

I basically agree - but in my case, instead of Lotus, it was Framework: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Framework_(office_suite) - I think I used versione III and IV, mostly.

It's a bit like bashing people for not taking the time to read Kant. I think that thebproblem is that people that haven’t taken the time to read Kant most of the time do not attempt to criticize or discuss his work.

I agree with you, I just shortened the original title a bit but I preferred not to change it too much, even if it could be perceived as vaguely click-baity...

On the main site (Stack Overflow) I managed to avoid any problems with my contributions. On at least one of the "niche sites" (Role playing games) I had a much less pleasant experience. The moderators are IMHO way too draconian in

Signatures have been all but obsolete for purchases in Europe for years; Not really my experience. And I live and work in Europe, moving often all over the EU and sometimes outside it. It is less frequent than before but still happens.

Maybe you know this already, but I suggest you to investigate an app called Jspeak. Take in account it requires a SIM in your device (so it would work on a smartphone but not in a plain tablet). I've seen it used (and used it myself)

I use it in the office (on Windows) and yes, the column mode is the best I used. I did try the Mac version (of UE) but I think it was still in beta mode and I was not really impressed. But on Windows is really great.

There is a little problem here, though. In other scientific disciplines the "laws" are not time dependent. I.e. Chemical reactions in 1894 work just the same as in 2017 or 3251. On the other hand discovering that your country is s
