The threat of moving to MS is interesting, MS could exploit this massively. All the negotiation power will be on MS side and their position actually gets stronger as people move across. Will they do the good guy thing and match everyones pa

You’re thinking short term, applying safety to todays LLMs. No one is claiming todays tech poses and existential threat. Others are looking at the trajectory and thinking about the future, where safety does start to become important.

Now I’m confused, because neither of the titles _clearly_ communicate that it’s a wasm version of llama.cpp in my opinion. It would probably be helpful to use the words “wasm” and “llama” to achieve that

When I did some quick math regarding buying hardware outright vs spinning up cloud versions, cloud seemed to win pretty handily. I've used runpod a bit, they have serverless which is good for sporadic inference. For training LoRAs I u

Firstly, "don't do that" probably requires some "control" over AI in the respect of how it's used and rolled out. Secondly, I find it hard to believe that rolling out self driving cars was a play by bad actors,

Sure, today at least. But there is a future where the human has given AI control of things, with good intention, and the AI has become the threat. AI is a tool today, tomorrow AI is calling shots in many domains. It's worth planning fo

Talent being exploited is an industry agnostic concept. The core argument should be how it messes up your dopamine system real good, addicts don't even realise it. AI isn't fixing that one anytime soon.

Tailwind is vanilla CSS though right? If someone created a stylesheet that just mapped one class to one CSS rule, and did that over and over for all the kinds of rules (with sensible spacing variations), you've got 90% of what tailwind

But this is my point. It’s like that old joke, 400: you fucked up, 500: we fucked up. What exactly can you do when the issue is on the service side anyway. My expectation is most good software has something like sentry anyway, reporting sho

In all my years I’ve never seen such a polarising technology as tailwind. It’s really weird the lengths people will go through to defend their method of outputting key/value pairs to move things around on a webpage.
