The only thing I can think of is if they teamed up with LeetCode to allow people to use the built-in compiler to solve the problems. Obviously for the folks who use <ObscureLanguageX> this wouldn't work but it would be a nice col

Unless the US improves itself first, then I don't think China is going to believe that the US is making these criticisms and imposing these sanctions with any kind of coherent moral framework. They're going to look at this as a wa

It's really not the business of the US government to be sanctioning China over "better rights for their citizens", when the US has already got massive prison labour camps, racist policing system, and has mishandled the Cvid-1

A "like a family" feeling isn't going to happen while one or more members of that family have total power over wages and employment of the rest. My relationship with my boss and my fellow workers isn't like that of a fam

The rioters had no coherent "aim", they basically treated like a tourist trap, and were practically let in by the police.

This is exactly what RSS feeds were for. In fact Outlook and other mail programs support RSS feeds alongside e-mail. Maybe Google should have integrated Reader into Gmail instead of dropping support for it.

I don't think NJB is arguing against the use of cars outside the city (although he's a big fan of trains, naturally). But also don't forget it's not just bougies living in the city, it's working-class people too, wh

Experimentation is part of learning though. Heck, failing is part of learning! We really need to teach kids that just because you fail a few times at something you're not bad at it - it's part of learning.

I would probably be considered far to the left of most HN commentators, but I still find moves like this to be pointless. Ebay, Amazon, etc are all private companies. So I appreciate the point of view that they can operate as they like. But

The US tax system is another one of those things about the US that looks utterly baffling to an outside observer from Europe. How on earth did it get into this state? How is this 'free'?

These types of moves are usually not looked upon favourably by China, and might risk the fate of the two Michaels (who were locked up in retailation for Meng Wanzhou's arrest).

The argument would be, what is the intent of the CCP in pushing this program, gien the evidence of coercion from Uyghur camp survivors. Is it as virtuous as state media argues? Doubtful.

It's the inevitable consequence of policing Trump's tweets. Either you police everything, or you're a hypocrite. This is not intended to judge how true the original article by the way, for future downvoters.
