If there’s anything in the AI space I would expect to forment a crash, it’s the TPU/trainium bullshit being pushed by UHNW forces. Nobody wants to even show up for ROCM, let alone a fully NDA’d solution.

> Software developers wax poetic about the value of 'handcrafted human-made software' They really don't; devs are the highest consumers of AI by far. Designers, on the other hand, have already been obsoleted and exist basi

No, you’re combining two different concepts. Shrinkflation is the price remaining constant when the quantity decreases. Enshittification is when the quality of service decreases while prices remain constant or rise.

It sucks to work with people like you, honestly. Prima-Donna types that overindex on their own personal paranoias instead of trying to succeed, grow, and excel along with the people around them. Quite literally not a team player.

Then pay will go up again for those mid-level developers who still remain, and companies will again overhire and overtrain like we saw during COVID years. “We won’t have any seniors in ten years!!1!” is a handwringy problem that self solves

Your worldview sucks. Essentially claiming that in order to receive information, you must also receive garbage useless information to brainwash you.

It must be wild to actually go through life believing the things written in this post and also thinking you have a rational worldview.

You’re absolutely right! Christ is returning soon! Would you like me to cite some additional Bible verses that support your prophecy?

This sounds a bit tinfoily but given HSBCs history not impossible; can you show any additional sources to follow?

Yes, so reform the H1B program entirely, since it has been abused by the elites.

Usenet must be a generational thing, because it was not widely available or used when I was in university. We were all concerned with if we were allowed to torrent content and how strict they were with enforcement. I recall friends on some

Yes, I wrote a python script that uses FFMPEG and detects the bitrate of the file and determines approximately what CQ to use. If the original file has a low bitrate, by reencoding it with a high CQ you can actually increase the file size (

I use “slow” GPU encoding. I optimized my pipeline for minimal quality loss, not maximum file size savings. I wouldn’t recommend using consumer grade CPUs to reencode because to get a reasonable speed you’ll need to use “fast” presets which
