Ok, good. A thing like that doesn't inspire confidence, but presumably it was just a typo then.

Yeah, what the hell? That wont even compile. Is this thing even real? Why wouldn't the just use the actual output of their tool?

You're not wrong, but in the real world it frequently happens that the choice of language is not the bottleneck. The bottlenecks are usually things like memory, network and file I/O, making the language you write in make very litt

Yeah, I've had a similar experience: i only ever use iTunes for one thing, and that's as an Apple Music client. If you limit yourself to that, it's actually quite nice, much better than Spotify. However, if I were trying to o

I think this critique is just plain wrong on its face. A huge number of both game reviewers and players recognize good pixel art as great, and don't assign it a "pixel tax". Look at Hyper Light Drifter. Every one who's s

Tries are lovely little datastructures, don't let anyone tell you any different. It's not like you'll use them every day, but they're nice to have when needed!

I basically agree, but I would say that a slightly deeper understanding of regular expressions is a really useful thing to know for basically all professional programmers. If for no other reason they can recognize the "pathological&quo

Yeah, obviously, there are lots of ways to improve that code. First off all, much more efficient to to do (i * i <= n) instead of (i <= sqrt(n)), or at the very least you can cache sqrt(n) so you don't recalculate it every step.

Yeah, the O(1) refers to the size of the EXTRA memory you need, aside from the input. Defining it any other way would be strange. So, for instance, binary search over a sorted list needs O(log n) of memory (for the same reason as the prime

1- That's certainly true, git is really hard to learn. But if you're a developer it's worth getting comfortable with it, which means not going for the "nuclear option" every time something weird happens. Someone on

That's certainly true, but at least that's not going to cause an infinite loop while wandering down the structure, it's just gonna end at a leaf "ref" or "id".

I would imagine this feature is primarily useful if you want to serialize a whole bunch of objects that all reference each other, but it makes me feel a bit icky. It feels like it breaks an intuitive assumption you have about hierarchical f
