In my case that is entirely broken. It just leaves it there. That’s why I’m frustrated. Regardless, it’s inappropriate to even have it enabled for a Professional installation. It’s so stupid.

Always a pleasure reading your rants on DNSSEC. How the hell was DNSSEC supposed to stop an attack against leaked credentials?

Seems reasonable enough, steps that should have already been taken (and may have been already for certain sectors of the government). Pretty level headed “directive,” I definitely welcome it.

Its absurd. Even on the City Workstations I sometimes use when volunteering are plagued by candy crush saga!

You can’t do that with the “advertisement packages”. Thanks for trying though ;).

Huge rant incoming: My biggest issue is still not knowing how the (ugh..) fuck to remove Candy Crush Saga from my god damned “downloaded” apps list. On fucking Professional I should not have to deal with that crap. All the instructions on t

A lot of password managers clear or restore the clipboard after a short period.

My password manager can deal with it: Cmd + \, Enter, Cmd + \, Enter. It is a little saddening, perhaps, but to say it’s breaking password managers entirely is a wrong.

They're following the code, it's written in law. If they didn't take advantage of it, their stockholders would be pissed.

Ok. But that’s also baked into the cost of the device at sale. If we’re talking about the App Store, bandwidth, redistribution, etc that it provides sure. But .. I don’t agree with your listed examples.

It’s kind of like bundling cable and internet I guess? Or perhaps considering it like buying “in bulk” in a way.

If purchased through the app and you were billed by the App Store (i.e. you were asked by iOS to use Touch ID/FaceID/Apple ID password) then yes.

Until they’re not. I’ve had some codebases where it took 3-4 hours to figure out that some really bizarre issue was really just a type bug. And I don’t consider myself a terrible debugger.

I believe PHPFPM behaves in this way. When the client disconnects from the web server, their request stays in the queue for a worker to pick up, I don’t believe there is a way to cancel it.

Why should the user then not respect Spotify’s right to terminate their account based on the TOS? Goes both ways if you ask me.

Zero problems with Stripe, still processing payments without any issue. Just took a look at their status page too, in case something got posted, but no such notice exists.

Even price increases can take some time to do, as you have people in 1-2 year contracts. I just hope that’s enough time for competition, or that it doesn’t happen.

It’s a bit harder to put the cat back in the bag. I’m assuming (and hoping) it’ll take a few years for that kind of degradation, and some new competition (or municipal service) could make its way in.

On the other hand, it seriously forced other ISPs to step up their game from what I hear. So not all is lost.

Zorp GPL is free/opensource, so unless you're looking for some of the closed source features in Zorp Professional you should be able to tinker pretty heavily.

Any self signed certificate? Then the attacker who is already capable of intercepting packets can just serve whatever and proxy your request. Your argument to the main argument falls short just the same..

You can probably verify this yourself with crt.sh! I’m on mobile and busy, but it’s a fun game mucking through the certificates for various domain names.
