Reach out to them, they’re awesome folk and were willing to sponsor a 501(c)3 I worked on.

By default, headscale doesn't have a web interface/login as such and all configuration is done via the CLI on the server running headscale. So, your login is effectively PAM. You use authkeys etc to add machines.

You certainly don't need a full on Keycloak installation here, if you don't want to go that far. There's various OIDC providers, some more complex than others!

Store the basket in a temporary cookie, not the oauth state parameter.

Who could in theory also be told “don’t notify your client about this specific one”. You’re best off self hosting if you think you’d be a target for these kind of attacks.

It isn’t as long as the peer is aware it happens, because otherwise Telegram isn’t P2P it’s centralized for messaging.

Haha! I always wondered as a kid why that was a requirement. The number of times I had to use the Opera browser to get around my restrictive mother, sigh.

The point I’m making is that no matter what you do, a conspiracy theorist is going to twist the narrative to fit their world view.

Adding a correction at the top would just fuel (current or budding) conspiracy theorists, as they can point to something that was, in their eyes, forcibly corrected against WIRED's will.

Looks like OVH does managed k8s, and they're pretty solid at this point for the most part. https://us.ovhcloud.com/public-cloud/kubernetes/

For what it's worth, neom has moved on from DO a while back.

I don't care for the full on flexibility of IAM, but I'd kill for a simple "this key is for this bucket" feature. That doesn't seem so far fetched, I don't need per-object permissions within a single bucket!

Nope, this post is from 2021 pretty much begging that DO provide per-bucket level access keys for Spaces. Otherwise, right now, all keys created for an account can access all buckets on that account.

Don’t forget the time they issued the same sshd keys to every instance because they didn’t scrub them from the images.

My guess, based on reading a few different copies of the article from different venues (since the information is a massive paywalled publication I do not want to pay 50 bucks a month for) is that the two companies were falsifying reports of

How so? The vast majority of the English language we use today, that’s “formal,” has been the evolution of what was “slang” back then. I don’t understand your argument here..

It’s almost as if the English language adapts over time. I’m sure in the 1580s when the word “Gleeful” was seemingly introduced people felt weird about it too, heh.

You’re talking to a community that hates discord and more because they don’t own it. They’re afraid of enshitification of platforms they have no control over. You’ll win people over with self hosting, not promises of free or managed here.

Honestly, credit where credit is due. These are substantial donations that will hopefully be put to good use. On top of recurring 1k per project per month.

On Zulip you can move messages to another topic[0]. Streams are the concept of "channels" on Zulip, and Topics are your threads. On discord, if you use the reply feature enough times, (iirc 3-4 times) it'll prompt you to make

It’s not a public Tor exit node. It’s a personal node you can use to route your own traffic.

Using it as an always-on exit node is actually a pretty nifty feature, I hadn’t thought about that as a viable feature before now.
